| What size bin do I need? |
Bin sizes are described in cubic metre (m3) dimensions. See our diagrams for linear metre dimensions for the height, length and width of each of the m3 sizes. Type of waste and how much you have will determine the size you will need. |
Will it fit in my driveway? |
Please look at our diagrams to determine the area needed for each bin size. Remember that roll-on, roll-off bins normally require more space than the mini bins. |
Will the bin damage the area where it is placed? |
The mini bins lift straight up, on and off the ground, so no damage is likely. The roll-on, roll-off bins will need to roll on and off the truck, but are unlikely to cause damage to firm or concreted surfaces. Lawns and unsealed surfaces are not suitable because they can be damaged and bins can get bogged in soft earth.
If you have any concerns, you can place some planks or boards where the bin is to be placed and our drivers can assist you. |
Will I need council approval to leave it on the street or footpath? |
This varies from council to council and it is advisable to check first. Outside your property there are certail legal responsibilities to be considered - insurance, light at night, warning barriers etc. |
What can I put in it? |
Usually - if you can pick it up, you can put it in.
However, the exeptions are more important to remember. They are: Chemicals, Liquid Waste, Explosive Materials, Tyres, Gas Bottles, Asbestos. Give us an idea of your proposed waste contents so we can advise you. |
How should I load the bin? |
Green waste: Cut into smaller pieces and place larger heavier pieces on top to compact load down.
Soil, Rubble, Bricks: This material should not fill above the top of the bin.
General Waste: Break down to utilize space efficiently and once again light waste on the bottom and heavier on the top to compact down.
Please remember that before we can transport any loads, they must be made safe. Our drivers can advise you should you have any questions. For a large project, speak to one of our sales consultants about the cost benefits of sorting your loads. |
Will any of my waste be recycled? |
Yes, we are commited to recycling and continually seek to improve on our knowledge to recover more materials. Where possible, your waste will be taken to a major recycling waste depot, where up to 90% is recycled. |
What should I do about asbestos? |
Asbestos removal is a specialized area, for which we hold a current EPA Transporter License. Due to the nature of asbestos, special prices for disposal are available on request. We can supply a bin, but please make sure of all legal requirements regarding the removal and wrapping of this waste. If you need, we can put you in contact with a licensed removalist. |
How long can I keep the bin? |
For up to 4 days, negotiable rates are available for longer periods. |
Does it matter where I live? |
We deliver to the greater metropolitan area daily. |
How do I arrange delivery? |
Simply call us and give us your details, clear the space you want the bin placed and then get to work. |
Who uses your bins? |
Everyone. We have customers from domestic clients, through to commercial businesses and the building industry. We can place permanent bins in factories to handle on-going waste needs.
